Thys hearing - ASA lawyer representative walks out of CAS meeting

Switzerland - In new information received it is believed that the lawyer representing Athletics South Africa has walked out of the CAS hearing regarding Gert Thys.

The ASA lawyer is believed to have stated that CAS has no jurisdiction over the Gert Thys situation and therefore walked out of the hearing.

Such behaviour does not reflect favourably on ASA and it adds further to an already volatile situation where the athlete Gert Thys has been subjected to treatment which led to the CAS arbitration panel in the first place.

It is understood the athlete needs to wait a further two weeks before an answer and report regarding the arbitration will be given.

I do not quite understand the essence of the problem and why you need to wait 2 weeks?
