Athletics Canada announces 2007 Pan American Junior Championships Team

OTTAWA – Athletics Canada announced today the 2007 Pan American Junior Championships Team competing July 6 through 8 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Gary Crossley, Head Coach of the 2007 Pan Am Junior Team, looks forward to this year’s competition. "Athletics Canada is very excited about the team selected for the Pan Am Junior Championships being held in Sao Paulo Brazil from July 6-8. The team is a mix of newcomers participating on their first National Team as well as many veterans from previous World Youth and World Junior Championship teams. Both athletes and staff look forward to what is sure to be an outstanding competition hosted by the Brazillian Federation."

Canada was the host of the previous Pan Am Junior Championships. Canadian athletes won 18 medals in 2005 on home soil.
