At the 2005 FISU Games in Izmir, Turkey the Canadian track and field team earned two silver medals. Reid Coolsaet of Hamilton, Ontario placed second in the 5000m while Jared MacLeod of Winnipeg also finished second in the 110 metre hurdles. The FISU Games take place every two years.
