VANCOUVER – Cross Country fans watched some great races unfold today in Vancouver, B.C., with the 2012 Canadian Cross Country Championships at Jericho Park. Cameron Levins of Black Creek, B.C., and Megan Brown of Guelph, Ont., were crowned the 2012 Canadian Champions in the senior race while Dylan Brown of Newmarket, Ont., and Jillian Forsey of Kippens, NFLD., took the junior titles. Ottawa – The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has ruled Justin Rodhe of Kamloops, B.C., ineligible for the upcoming World Indoor Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.  Rodhe, who has been living and training in Canada for close to four years and is married to Canadian hammer thrower Megan Rodhe, acquired his Canadian Citizenship on November 1, 2011.  According to IAAF rule 5.2, Rodhe would be eligible to represent Canada in international competition as of October 31, 2013. OTTAWA – Athletics Canada is pleased to announce that they have secured the rights to host the 2015 Panamerican Junior Athletics Championships, held every two years, the championships stack up the best under-20 competition for junior aged athletes outside of the IAAF World Junior Championships.  Canada last hosted this event in 2005 when it took place in Windsor, Ont. Personally, this year was a very different experience going to the Championships, a heavier load of pressure maybe, but also higher expectations for myself and for my team mates. For the first time, I was coming into a World Championships as a known contender for a top-ten placing and even be for a medal depending of the calibre of the race that is always very variable every year.
