“I keep thinking about how bad it’s gonna burn”

Four more days til the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront marathon.

Here are links to details of the broadcast schedule, elite starts lists (scroll down near bottom of page), Athletics Canada press release.

Nothing much to report since the Zoo run. We put in a 40km day two days after that race. It was raining relentlessly the entire time. I got some pretty nasty chafing in areas that I best not describe here. We followed that up with a 20km tempo run that you can see here, and then started easing into the taper.

Let’s hope the weather forecast changes a bit. As of writing this they are calling for 45km/h winds on Toronto Island (probably a more accurate forecast of course conditions than that for Pearson airport)!

I’ll be in Toronto as of Thursday evening, staying out of trouble on the west end of town. If anyone is going to be at the expo on Friday afternoon I will be at the Mizuno booth from 4:00-5:00pm, stop by and say hello.

Best of luck to everyone participating in the 5k, half, and full marathon.
