Stellenbosch (Cape Town) –The action of the 2015 IMPI Challenge will culminate at the picturesque Lievland and Warwick Wine Estates, Stellenbosch the weekend of 17 and 18 October 2015 in the form of the IMPI Challenge Cape Town #2.

Claude Eksteen and Trish Bahlmann claimed victory in the IMPI Elite Race Cape Town #1 earlier this year in respective times of 01 hour 37 minutes 15 seconds and 02 hours 05 minutes 01 second, with Eksteen celebrating his sixth IMPI Elite Race victory on the day.

Having gone up against top South African trail runner AJ Calitz, Eksteen had the following to say: “I’ve never pushed so hard in an IMPI Race. The competition definitely made it more exciting. Racing against the top guys just gives the win more credibility”.

According to Bahlmann, the Cape Town route is tougher than the Gauteng route. “IMPI Cape Townrocks! I love the challenge, the enjoyment and the prize money. I wouldn’t miss this for the world”.

Presented by Mitsubishi Motors, the IMPI Challenge is ultimately a trail run with a twist. Obstacles are challenging, yet safe making IMPI ideal for entrants of all ages.

There are five categories to choose from when entering the IMPI Challenge:

Categories: IMPI Challenge: 10 km with 18 obstacles (age 18+ years)
IMPI Dash: 5 km with 12 obstacles (ages 10+, all adults welcome)
IMPI Mini: 1km with smaller supervised obstacles (ages 6 – 10 years)
IMPI Elite: 18- 20km with 25 tough obstacles (age 18+ years); timed event with prize money
IMPI Corporate: the 10km Challenge distance with extra benefits (age 18+ years)

Prize money will be allocated to the top 3 finishers in the men’s and women’s IMPI Elite Race.

Prize Purse Breakdown: IMPI Elite Race

1st R 10 000.00
2nd R 5 000.00
3rd R 2 500.00

The first male and female IMPI Elite finisher that is 45 years of age and/or older will take home a whopping R2000 prize.
