Nothing planned. I was thinking about a long run.

5K race on June 4th in my city.
Would it be the case to take a test?

fabre, I was thinking giving a fast run at the end of the cycle as beneficial

if you recover well, then you can do a long run on the Sunday

distance up to 6k max, so either, 4 . 5 . 6

Hi, TheED!

Fast run (4K) with some friends on Saturday.
1K - 3:42
1K - 3:40
1K - 3:38
1K - 3:28
14:28

Great recovery.

Sunday: 20K - 4:53/K - 156bpm avg

Today I made another easy 8K.

What do you think about the 5K race on June 4th?
"A" race on July 23 (10K).

One doubt: the 5x2K session does not focus more on resistance, losing some speed?
Should I continue with the beginning of a new cycle this week?

HI fabre, the 2k session is speed endurance

the 1k session is more the development of 5k speed

if your 4k time-trial gets quicker then all your other speed areas are developed

The 2k session is the most important session to teach you how to maintain pace

you can race the 5k and 10k

if you want to, you can do 1 week of easy 1hr runs, if you feel you need a break?

Good morning, TheED!

I'm a little out because of work issues.
However, the training goes as planned, with a focus on the 10K race next month.
This last Sunday I did a 5K race and I got my best time - 17:54.

Looking forward to continuing the training.
