yes we can look at the sub 40 minute 10 km program

but still need to be cautious as there is a significant jump from the sub 45 minute 10 km program to sub 40

so feedback and discussion as you proceed is recommended

hi two days back into training even though had a week off binge eating feel really fresh that will change tomorrow im sure got to do the 2000s ouch let you know how it goes on day 7 it says 10k easy relaxed what time should i aim to do it in cheers mate speak soon

grimmey, keep the easy runs to easy, don't be obsessed about the pace for now, make sure you able to do the TALK TEST .. you should be able to hold a conversation while on an easy run

the pace fort the 2000's, don't look to go quicker than 7 minutes 50 per 2k that is 3.55 per 1km pace

try relax and even if you run 8 mins to 8.o5 it is truly fine as it still a valuable session when you complete it

hi ed im going to do a 5km race next my pb is 22.13 did that race about a year ago not done 5 k since as you know ive been doing 10ks pb 40.45 so i want to be looking at under 20mins i have use of a running track theres a 5 k race every week at heaton park manchester every week so how long training plan should i do and can you do me a training plan for that time cant see any ten ks that exite me so i thought id do a 5 to freshen things up and get motivated cheers mate

Hi grimmey, select a 10km schedule and we change the 5 x 2000m session to something easier and then the rest of the program will prepare you for 5km

especially the 6 x 1000m with Rest 60 seconds
