: First XCountry event held by Maltese Athletics posted 20 November
The Malta Amateur Athletics Association brought its
75th Anniversary celebrations to a close by organising
a cross-country race for the first time in its history.
Although there were previous events bearing this title,
this was the first proper attempt to stick as much
as possible to the spirit of the competition with
the route stretching over 8km of grassy terrain. And,
judging by the comments of those who took part, the

Marathon: Alemu upsets Takahashi's comeback posted 16 November

Naoko Takahashi who was making her return from an
injury sustained a year ago, suffered her first defeat
since 1998 when beaten by Ethiopian Elfenesh Alemu.
The winning time was 2:24:47, with Takahashi a 2nd
