Kenyan Evans Rutto won his 2nd Chicago marathon and his 3rd marathon from as many starts. This win moves him to the ranks of being the world's most dominant marathoner at present. 2nd was Njenga in 2:07:42 with Japan's Takaoka 3rd in 2:07:49. World Half Marathon Champs: Paul Kirui and Yungie Sun capture titles 03.10
New Delhi, India - Kenya's Paul Kirui took the Men's title in a time of 62:15 ahead of Tanzania's Fabiano Joesph [62:31] to capture the World Half Marathon Championship title over a distance of 21.1km. In the Women's race, China's Yungie Sun took the title in a new Personal Best time of 68:40 ahead of Kenya's Lydia Cheromei in 69:00 with Romania's evergreen, Constantina Tomescu, 3rd in 69:07. Ireland's Sonia O'Sullivan can be happy with her 4th place in 70:33.
