New race organisers for Nedbank Series
Johannesburg, Wednesday, 19 April 2006 – In an intrepid move to improve on the organisation of the Nedbank City Marathon and Matha Series, Athletics South Africa (ASA) today announced that former Comrades Marathon race director, Cheryl Winn, will head up the Local Organising Committee (LOC) as new race director for the Series.

Robert Cheruiyot and Rita Jeptoo of Kenya take their respective division titles in winning times of 2:07:14 and 2:23:38. The Men's winning time is a new course record. Kosgei, who broke the Kenyan record, ran 59 minutes, 7 seconds - 22 seconds ahead of his compatriot Evans Cheruiyot.
