SAN DIEGO - (June 4, 2006) - Ambesse Tolossa of Ethiopia made the most of his first visit to the United States as he won the ninth annual Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Sunday in San Diego. Tolossa, 27, covered the 26.2-mile course in a time of 2 hour, 10 minutes, 8 seconds. On the women's side, Kenya's Alice Chelangat captured her second RnR title, winning in 2:28:21.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – A 22-year old record was shattered in the women’s marathon today as Canadian Lioudmilla Kortchaguina crossed the finish line of the 2006 ING Ottawa Marathon with a new course - and personal - record with a time of 2:29:42. Ethiopian Moges Zebenaye (2:36:14) and Helena Loshanyang Kirprop of Kenya (2:37:43) followed.

Cheruiyot, Jeptoo Win 110th Boston Marathon Titles

Americans go 3-4-5 at 110th Boston Marathon
BOSTON - In an incredible showing for American distance running, Americans Meb Keflezighi, Brian Sell and Alan Culpepper finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, as five American men were in the top 10 on Monday at the 110th Boston Marathon. Robert Cheruiyot of Kenya won his second career Boston title with a course-record time of 2:07:14.

Robert Cheruiyot and Rita Jeptoo of Kenya take their respective division titles in winning times of 2:07:14 and 2:23:38. The Men's winning time is a new course record. For the USA it spelled a day of success, in the Men's race, with 3 runners finishing 3rd to 6th with another Kenyan Benjamin Maiyo 2nd in 2:08:21.
