Welcome to The Boston Marathon 2007

BOSTON - The 110th edition of the BAA Boston Marathon was one of the most vicious first 21km of the race in many a year.

The last few years have all been tactical affairs with no hint of brute physical exertion, however what was on display at this year's Boston amongst the men was awesome. The halfway mark was reached in 62 minutes with a string of runners in contention.

At the finish line it was Kenyan, Robert Cheruiyot, in a new course record of 2:07:14. In the Women's category, debutant Rita Jeptoo, claimed victory to give Kenya the double. Her winning time was 2:23:38 was significant in alerting the World of Kenya's probable successor to Catherine Ndereba.
