New Zealand Athletics

 


The track and field section of the New Zealand team leave today for the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney.

Athletics will compete alongside 14 other sports at the festival. The athletics competition will be staged at Homebush on Friday and Saturday.

All 28 members of the athletic team are under 18 as at the end of this year, making any qualifying performances put up over the two days eligible for selection to the world youth championships in Ostrava Czech Republic in July.
