Track: Ross sets new 1500m best posted

JOANNA ROSS (City of Glasgow) smashed her best time by six seconds to
win the 1500 metres in 4 minutes 24.2 second at the Lothian Clubs Joint
Championships at Meadowbank.
Ross, a Scottish internationalist over 800 metres, is an optician and
lives in Edinburgh. She won the female athlete-of-the-meeting award
for her effort. Scottish 400 metres champion Allan Stuart (City of Edinburgh)
won the 200 metres in 22.28secs to take the male award.
