{"id":603,"date":"2012-08-17T14:07:22","date_gmt":"2012-08-17T14:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/canada\/?p=603"},"modified":"2012-08-17T14:07:22","modified_gmt":"2012-08-17T14:07:22","slug":"top-youth-athletes-in-charlottetown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/canada\/news\/top-youth-athletes-in-charlottetown.htm","title":{"rendered":"Top Youth Athletes in Charlottetown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/legion-2012.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-604 aligncenter\" title=\"2012 Legion Canadian Youth Athletics Championships\" src=\"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/legion-2012.jpg\" alt=\"2012 Legion Canadian Youth Athletics Championships\" width=\"531\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/legion-2012.jpg 590w, https:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/legion-2012-300x127.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>CHARLOTTETOWN &#8211; Canada&#8217;s best youth aged athletes will take to the track and to the field at the University of PEI Canada Games Stadium beginning on Friday for the 2012 Legion Canadian Youth Athletics Championships in Charlottetown, P.E.I.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The event is organized and hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion PEI Command and will feature Canadian youth athletes who competed earlier in July at the World Junior Championships in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>World Junior Championship standouts in Charlottetown this weekend<\/p>\n<p>Semi finalists Nicole Setterington of London, Ont., and Deshaunda Morrison of Calgary, Alta., will go head to head for the championship title in the girl&#8217;s 100-metre hurdles.<br \/>\nTeammates Mobolade Ajornale of Richmond Hill, Ont., and Cl\u00e9mence Paiement of Laval, Que., will be looking for nothing less than gold in the boy and girls 100-metres.<br \/>\nGeorgia Ellenwood of Langley, B.C., will compete in the girl&#8217;s heptathlon; she finished 18th overall with a new personal best of 5262 points.<\/p>\n<p>The first event on the field tomorrow is the girl&#8217;s javelin final and it goes at 9:30am local time.
