International Lake Garda Marathon<\/strong> – The picturesque Lake Garda in Northern Italy and its beautiful lakeside towns have charmed foreign visitors for centuries. Located in the Northern Italy Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy, and is the setting for the 2015 Lake Garda Marathon on October the 18th.<\/p>\n

The Lake Garda area is known for its endless possibilities for outdoor activities. Since 2007 the International Lake Garda Marathon has invited runners to take part in the event that is for sure to touch your soul with its surroundings. The event takes place on the east side of Lake Garda starting in Malcesine which nestles in between Lake Garda and the slopes of Monte Baldo and finishing on the northern tip of the Lake Garda in Torbole. Torbole is
\nsituated 200 km from the bigger cities of Milan and Venice, and 80 km from Verona.<\/p>\n

International Lake Garda Marathon 18th October 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since the inauguration in 2007 the event has hosted roughly 2,000 runners each year. In addition to the full marathon distance, the event provides a 15 km long non competitive Lake Garda Run and a 30 km long Lake Garda Long Run. The route for each of the events runs along the east coast of Lake Garda, leaving all runners breathless just from the views! According to the organisers, the route is also relatively flat. The course record for the
\nmarathon is 2:18. This year the organisers have also added another newbie to the event – Torbole Night Run. Torbole Night Run is a soft trail run race which takes place on Saturday night 17th October, starting at 8 pm. The organisers describe the route as breathtaking, however to get to witness the views you need to climb a few hills, which have been equipped with 3 long, separate metal ladders to make the climbs easier. Sounds interesting and challenging! Perhaps not for the fainthearted!<\/p>\n\n\t\t
