Lanzarote 14th June 2015 – The 2015 Lanzarote Wine Run and Food Festival, proved yet again to be a growing success for both the runners, walkers and for those who attended the event as spectators.<\/p>\n

Merino Star of Wine Run 2015<\/h3>\n

Yet again, Aroa Merino, proved to be the star of the show. Just as in the Wine Run 2014<\/a>, where she finished in 6th place overall, to show her star status, the tiny athlete produced an even higher performance. Shooting to the front early in the race, to lead the men over the first 10km. She would eventually be overhauled and would finish 3rd overall and 10 minutes ahead of the 2nd Women.<\/p>\n

Wine Run Kids Races – Saturday 13th June 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before we dabble further into the main race, let us first mention the success of the Wine Run Kids Races of the evening before, held on the streets in the town of Uga. For the family, the Wine Run organisers provided an opportunity for the children to participate, with a street run for the various age groups.<\/p>\n
