sub 40 10 k. Please advise - TheEd - 11-03-2009 you getting there then the reason for the question about the easy runs is to see how you are coping, the easier those runs become the better your overall fitness we work on the pace (speed) and then the need to be able to maintain that speed is important it will all come together TheEd :jive: sub 40 10 k. Please advise - robbie_1000 - 13-03-2009 Treadmill 40mins easy 6.65k. Having a blonde moment here, please clarify. Instead of doing the 10k schedule could i improve my times by doing loads of long runs. Somebody said to me that doing loads of long runs would improve my times. But i don't really wanna spend all my life down the gym or on the road and i am only interested in 10k maximum distance. I feel like i'm doing bloody well atm and i'm spending my time on the right type of schdule combined with the right amount of rest. Basically i feel that i couldn't be doin any better and want you to say yes Rob that's the case !:o: sub 40 10 k. Please advise - TheEd - 13-03-2009 robbie_1000 Wrote:Treadmill 40mins easy 6.65k. Care to ask them how many athletes they have personally trained on said 'loads of long runs' to get said results they speak of, please? Rob, I have personally coached athletes with great results on these programs, from a 45 minute 10k runner to sub 29 minute 10k runners. Training in a squad environment consisting of 30 athletes of varying abilities with a more than 90% success rate on said programs Hope that helps TheEd sub 40 10 k.
