yes, lets see how things progress and drop the thoughts of the 2k this week

though Saturday could be a day if fully recovered

Sub 35 - jamieh - 01-08-2012

Ok, easy running/riding until Saturday then I'll see how it feels. Only if perfect will go ahead with the 2k's.

Sub 35 - jamieh - 03-08-2012

Ok - quad looking good! Easy 10k on treadmill yesterday with no pain + 3.5hr steady bike in the evening (again, no pain). Easy 5k run outside today (again felt good). So will hit the 2k's at some point tomorrow.

Should I then do long run on Sunday and keep the 1k's on Tuesday? Or push the 1k's out a bit further?

Sub 35 - TheEd - 03-08-2012

no long run Sunday and for the future, when recovering don't go do a 10k run as part of your recovery Wink

if you feel anything during the 2k session, then abandon the session

don't continue a further aggravate the problem, please

Cheers and good luck

5x2kR90 (track)

Hot (25deg) Windy (12mph)

Tough session. Got through it though, and pleased to have descended the last 3. No quad pain aside from a brief sting (just 2 or 3 strides) halfway through the first rep.

Was strong on bike this avo in 2hr group ride. Coming into some form on bike.

(won't do 10k when recovering in future! and long steady bike instead long run tomoz. Thx!)

How is the leg feeling now?

Sub 35 - jamieh - 06-08-2012

Leg is perfect. Took the day off running yesterday (5hr steady bike instead - felt great). Easy 10k run today on the treadmill, felt good - no pain at all Smile

1k's tomorrow? Or another easy day and do them on Weds? Should be able to do my 5k paced on Sat morning.

Sub 35 - TheEd - 06-08-2012

yes, consider an easy day .. and not 10k

1k session Wednesday would be decent

happy to hear leg in good order

6x1kR60 (Track)

Weight 77.8
Weather (HOT 30 deg). No wind.

Good sesh yesterday afternoon. No unexpected pain in the legs, so think I'm back on track. The last couple were tough going, can feel the lack of core strength from low mileage & no access to a gym for past few weeks.

Easy 15k this morning also pretty strong.

Back to London tomorrow & to the old routine Smile

Sub 35 - TheEd - 09-08-2012

the heat of 30 degrees would also be a major factor, especially over the final 2 x 1k .. definitely impairs performance

nice going
