snads ... oooops ... my apologies .. for a moment I had you on the

sub 40 minute 10k schedule

so then Sunday: Race

Sat: Rest
Fri: easy day of 30min running
Thur: easy day of 40min running
Wed: start with 3 x 5min @ 10k pace with 1min easy F

so I gather .. that session for Wednesday would have been missed so simply continue with the sessions as above

Is this OK with you?

Too late, did 90mins on Wedesday, 30mins on Thurs, the 3x5mins on Friday. Today (Sat) is rest and tomorrow is the race. Any tips for the race. I am desperate to get 44:59mins....Snads.

Snads .. don't go out too fast and remember when you feel tired that you have worked through your 2000's before

Thanks, after the race what do you recommend as I gave a 5k race on Day19 and the day after this race will be Day10, shall I pick up from this point or vary it at all? Snads.

TheEd, I'm over the moon, finally done it 10,050m in 44:44 ave181, max194. Beat that damned 45min barrier!!!! Thanks for all your help. Snads.

Tomorrow is Day 10 and on Day 19 I have the 5k. I'm away so cannot run on Days 15 or 16. Can you recommend the schedule over the next 10 days please.

Also given it's a 5k race I'm doing should I do something different instead of the 5k time trial or the 3x5mins@10k pace???

stick to the schedule Snads, it won't have any detrimental effect and will get you used to the cycles
