10K Training Program Question - TheEd - 27-11-2010

most definitely .. roll them forward .. make the occasion enjoyable

at a later stage we can be concerned about pace etc .. for now enjoy and find a rhythm of enjoyment

TheEd
ps.. most snow I have seen here at this time of year .. wife did skiing instead of running

10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 27-11-2010

Once things are rolling along nicely over coming weeks, will have to bring up some medium-term goals for next year. We can discuss how I should go about putting in the foundations for achieving them...

To a good weekend...

Best wishes,

D

10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 28-11-2010

Coach,

Got out this AM after a little late night and some beers...not too many mind you!

Was mostly waddling with 1.5-2km walking here and there. Another beautiful frosty morning - great to be alive!

7.5km/45:47/131 Avg HR/5:44/km Avg

HR was up a little, mostly due late night I feel. However needed to get out and burn the beer off which it did nicely. Certainly noticing the effects now on legs. Early night tonight, rest tomorrow - back out Tues for something? Any suggestions gladly anticipated...

Cheers,

D

keep waddling .. keep the routine going and after a number of waddles you have some consistency

enjoy

10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 06-12-2010

TheEd,

How are you? Any waddling?

Wow busy week last week - no runs since last Sunday. Studying away was hectic and the weather has been all snow, snow and ice. Therefore no exercise for 7 days! Did do a few walks but the icy roads and pathments made things just too dangerous - also felt it was best to concentrate on the studying.

Back home now so going for a swim this eve...may be a waddle tomorrow. Will keep you posted coach...

Bye for now,

D

10K Training Program Question - TheEd - 06-12-2010

Weather is certainly not the best for running on ice

take care and maybe swimming will need to be the alternative if no treadmill is available

enjoy

TheEd
ps.. have not waddled for a while though I pulled 3 kids on sleighs across the snow yesterday for exercise Wink

10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 06-12-2010

Cant stand them...or run on them for that matter! Are they really of benefit? Suppose they must be better than nothing?!

Will check out conditions tomorrow morn near work...might do a little rowing instead just until settled back into work this week before braving it and running in the sub-zero temps at the mo over here!!!

Will report back any notable efforts...

10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 08-12-2010

TheEd,

Managed a 25 min treadmill waddle y/day then a light core session. Have a tad sore hamstring unfortunately. Went in gym today to do a stretch. Will try a 30min waddle on treadmill tomorrow and maybe a little weights...happy days!

10K Training Program Question - TheEd - 09-12-2010

make sure to give the hamstring a chance to recover as the conditions outside can trigger unnecessary stretching of the hammie

hope all settles down shortly
