The "each interval" data is hard to copy it seems. Is it ok to give you a link to this?

Thanks!

if these are your 2k times

07:41
07:35
07:35
07:25
07:19

then it is certainly a decent session

where did you do the session?

I did it on a treadmill.

I followed my garmin (it's a forerunner 50 with footpod) both in speed and distance. Usually it's pretty exact, at most I think it has faulted around 10 sec/km.

However I can't be sure about it's reliability

It would be much better to run at a 400 m track while doing these sessions. Then I would be totally sure about the exact pace, time and distance.

Though it's hard to find one here, I will try to when I get to the 1k sessions.
Last thing I wanna do is fool myself.

What pace or hr should I follow at the "longest run" tomorrow?

Thanks!

when doing the session on a treadmill look to create a 2 to 3% incline, this will provide a closer effect to outside running

Cheers and enjoy

Great!

Does that apply for the easy and long run sessions too?

Christian

you shouldn't be doing a 2k session so soon after the 2k session you did a few days ago?

which program are you now training on

Day 3 is the 2k session followed by the various sessions of the 18 day cycle

a little misunderstanding from my side maybe?

Cheers

I've only done one 2k session. It was on Thursday. I started the sub 40 program on Tuesday.

Today I did the 1h 30min long run. I started at incline 3%. It felt much tougher than when I usually run at that pace outside. My HR went very high too, so I decreased the incline first to 2%, but then to 1%.
That felt more like the usual effort at above 5:00 pace.
My HR still went pretty high. Above 160 at least half the exercise.
It might be explained by the very high temperature in the gym today and the abscence of A/C - I don't know Smile

I really feel that the treadmill is a lot of trouble when it comes to knowing what's authentic or not. I really don't want to do any mistakes by running with too little effort or too high effort. That might spoil everything - right?

What do you think of it all?

Anyway, Here's the data from today

PS. If you wonder about the strange splits sometimes around 1 hour it's because of the treadmill - it can just go for an hour at a time Smile

PS2. Here's my data from the 10k races earlier this year if you're curious.

Christian, don't get too wrapped up about the effort try your utmost to stay relaxed and the rest will eventually balance itself out

give it time
