The inaugural Melbourne Marathon, 1977, was on the course for which it became famous, Melbourne to Frankston. Melbourne returns to the traditional course for the second time in nearly ten years and they are excited about their new sponsor who has given them the opportunity to rejuvenate the event.

This course gives you the opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of the train trip to the start with the other athletes and the accomplishment of a scenic and fast course.

Take up the challenge and be part of the tradition.

Each finisher in the marathon and half marathon receives a medal.
