{"id":1168,"date":"2007-09-30T05:18:33","date_gmt":"2007-09-30T11:18:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/marathon\/?p=1168"},"modified":"2007-09-30T05:18:33","modified_gmt":"2007-09-30T11:18:33","slug":"berlin-2007","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/marathon\/berlin\/berlin-2007\/","title":{"rendered":"Berlin 2007"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Haile Gebrselassie shattered the world record when winning this morning&#8217;s Real Berlin Marathon.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Gebrselassie clocked the unofficial time of two hours four minutes 26 seconds, a massive improvement on the mark of 2hrs 4mins 55secs which Kenya&#8217;s Paul Tergat achieved over the same course four years ago.<\/p>\n<p>The Ethiopian star said: &#8220;I knew I could do it. Everything went well. I felt last year that I could make it in Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This was perfect.
