Extended times before converting were 2:09:29.90 and 2:09:30.22 (.32 second difference). Ramaala won in 2004 with a time of 2:09:28.<\/p>\n<p>* Second smallest margin of men&#8217;s victory was 2 seconds in 1994: German Silva, 2:11:21 vs. Benjamin Paredes, 2:11:23.<br \/>\n* Closest women&#8217;s finish was 3 seconds in 2004: Paula Radcliffe at 2:23:10 vs. Susan Chepkemei 2:23:13.<\/p>\n<p>Susan Chepkemei placed runner-up for the second consecutive year, and the third time in the race.
