Ben Moynihan 1500m 3:49.34 (8r1). Tim Cornish 1500m 3:51.94 (8r4). Michael Whitehead 800m 1:54.26 (9r4). Annika Pfitzinger 1500m 4:28.45 (10r2). Malcolm Hicks 5000m 13:43.38 (16), last year he was 17th in 13:43.96.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boston BAA Invitational Road Mile \u2013 19 April 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nick Willis successfully defended his Boston invitational road mile in 4:11.3. Over the final quarter of the race Willis charged ahead and held on for the victory ahead of Paul Robinson of <a title=\"Ireland Running\" href=\"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/ireland\" target=\"_blank\">Ireland<\/a> who clocked 4:12.0. American Leo Manzano was third in 4:13.3. Last year Willis won the mile, which is a supporting race for the <a title=\"Boston Marathon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/marathon\/boston\" target=\"_blank\">Boston Marathon<\/a>, in 4:03.3.<\/p>\n<p>Willis was pleased to repeat the win.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt felt great to come across that finish line,\u201d said Willis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was more challenging than last year as the pace was slow and there were some great kickers in there. I\u2019ve only been doing mileage for the last five weeks and I\u2019ve only done two workouts,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Bryan Clay Invitational, Cougar Stadium, Azusa Pacific University, Los Angeles California \u2013 18 April 2014<\/p>\n<p>Chris Brake was ninth in the triple jump with his only recorded jump of 13.72m (+2.1). He was 11th equal in the high jump clearing 1.92m. Jeff Lautenslager was 74th in the 1500m in 3:59.94 and Josh Browne 86th in 4:02.70.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friar Invitational, Providence RI \u2013 12 April 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Laura Nagel ran a PB by 2.37 seconds in winning the 1500m in 4:20.86, an ECAC qualifying time. Her previous best of 4:23.23 was set at the Mt Sac meeting three years ago. The 22 year old won by a whopping 23 seconds and was named Big East women\u2019s track athlete of the week. Nagel, from Napier, also led her Providence team to victory in the 4 x 800m relay in 9:20.06.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arcadia Invitational, Los Angeles California -11\/12 April 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chris Brake had a personal best and a Tasman M20 triple jump record of 14.52m (+1.5) (6). This improves on his previous best of 14.18m in winning the New Zealand secondary schools senior title in Hamilton in December. Brake was fifth equal in the high jump clearing 1.98m. Natasha Eady was tenth in the heptathlon scoring 4210 points: (100m H 16.13 (-1.3) 698, HJ 1.57m 701, SP 6.92m 330, 200m 25.68 (+2.2) 825, LJ 5.06m (-0.2) 576, JT 28.00m 439, 800m 2:34.19 641). Jacob Matson 100m 10.92 (+1.2) (4 seeded). Austen Heuvel 100m 11.08 (+1.0) (4h). Joshua Browne 800m 1:55.41 PB (5). Mike Lowe 3200m 9:12.78 (15).
