Among the other winners on day one were Kerry Charlesworth who was just 1cm off her open pole vault record clearing 3.79m, Greer Alsop triple jump at 11.63m (-1.0), Phillip Wyatt triple jump at 14.33m and Merewarihi Vaka senior discus with a throw of 49.48m.<br \/>\nDay two highlights were world junior championships A qualifiers and championship records to Andrew Whyte S\/B 400m 46.91s, Rebekah Greene S\/G 1500m 4m 21.39s and 3000m 9m 23.42s. B qualifiers and championship records to Brad Mathas S\/B 800m 1m 50.24s, Kodi Harman S\/B 200m 21.39s. Record to Matthew Bloxham in the J\/B hammer throw 59.20m and to Wanganui Collegiate in the senior boys 4 x 400m relay.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Double winners at the championships were Kodi Harman S\/B 100m\/200m, Phil Simms S\/B 110m hurdles\/OB 300m hurdles, Mackenzie Keenan S\/G 100m hurdles\/OG 300m hurdles, Megan McPhail SG 100m\/200m, Rebekah Greene S\/G 1500m\/3000m, Greer Alsop SG long\/triple jumps, Zoe Hobbs JG 200m\/triple jump, Amy Robinson JG 100m\/long jump, Rosa Flannagan J\/G 4km road race\/3000m.<\/p>\n<p>AUSTRALIA<br \/>\nZatopek Meeting, Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park Melbourne \u2013 10 December 2011<br \/>\nNew Zealand performances; Angela Smit 800m 6th 2m 9.27s, Stefan Smith 3000m steeplechase 8th 9m 13.93s, John Schreuder U\/20 3000m 4th 8m 20.88s and Craig Lautenslager 9th 8m 35.47s.<\/p>\n<p>AUCKLAND<br \/>\nPakuranga 5km Series, 5 December: Scott Russell 17m 58s from Mark Toplis 18m 1s. Dick Quax, who set a world 5000m record of 13m 12.86s in 1977, completed the distance in 22m 41s.<br \/>\nO\u2019Hagan\u2019s Viaduct 5km, 6 December: Richard Speer 16m 36s from Matthew Battley 16m 58s. Alison Bogie 19m 26s.<\/p>\n<p>Rat Race 5km, Takapuna, 7 December: Lydia O\u2019Donnell won outright in 16m 18s, from James Brent 16m 59s and Stuart Grange 17m 3s. Tara La Grange was second woman in 18m 18s.<\/p>\n<p>HAMILTON<br \/>\nEastside 5km River Run, 6 December: Stefan Wagner 17m 44s, Eli Thomas and Ben Sunckell both 18m 11s. John Roskvist walk in 30m 17s and Terri Grimmett 30m 26s.<\/p>\n<p>NELSON<br \/>\nHonest Lawyer 5km Series, 5 December: Josh Johnston 18m 27s from Stuart Hodgkiss 18m 44s.<\/p>\n<p>DUNEDIN<br \/>\nAthletics Caledonian Ground \u2013 10 December 2011<br \/>\nAlex Gorrie M19 3000m 8m 58.57s, John Gilmour M19 long jump 6.20m (-1.0), Rebecca Wardell high jump 1.65m, Hamish Finnie M19 discus 43.61m and hammer 42.26m.<\/p>\n<p>OBITUARY<br \/>\nAthletics Waikato Bay of Plenty and Hamilton City Hawks Club stalwart Paul Luckie died on Sunday 11 December.<br \/>\nPaul had one of the longest memberships of over 60 years of the Hawks Club. He was an all round athlete in throws, hurdles and decathlon.
