{"id":756,"date":"2015-04-07T18:57:22","date_gmt":"2015-04-07T18:57:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/track\/?p=756"},"modified":"2015-04-07T18:59:23","modified_gmt":"2015-04-07T18:59:23","slug":"usain-bolt-for-btc-world-relays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/track\/pre-event\/usain-bolt-for-btc-world-relays","title":{"rendered":"Usain Bolt for BTC World Relays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/track\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/BTC.relay_.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-757\" title=\"BTC relays\" src=\"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/track\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/BTC.relay_.jpg\" alt=\"BTC relays\" width=\"580\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/track\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/BTC.relay_.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.time-to-run.com\/track\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/BTC.relay_-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s fastest man, Usain Bolt, will compete at the IAAF \/ BTC World Relays, Bahamas 2015, the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) announced on Tuesday (7).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The second edition of this innovative and exciting competition takes place in Nassau, The Bahamas on the weekend of 2-3 May.<\/p>\n<p>The JAAA met on Tuesday to decide the national team for the competition and selected the multiple world and Olympic champion, and world record holder, to compete on both days in Nassau.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m happy to be part of the Jamaican team for the IAAF \/ BTC World Relays in the Bahamas. I am fit, healthy and ready to run,\u201d commented Bolt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hear the meet was a lot of fun last year and there was a great atmosphere. Jamaica has a long and successful tradition in relays and when we put on the national colours we always do our best to make the country proud,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>JAAA General Secretary Garth Gayle commented, \u201cWe were extremely pleased that Usain was available for selection and that the world\u2019s fastest man will be running for Jamaica.
