On October 1, the top cross-country runners from the New York City Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) and independent New York City schools will compete in the eighth annual NYC Mayor’s Cup Cross-Country Championships. Approximately 2,000 student athletes from across the City will compete in Saturday’s races. The championship boys race will take place at 2:45pm, followed by the championship girls race at 3pm on Saturday, October 1, at Van Cortlandt Park, 6121 Broadway, Bronx.

The NYC Mayor’s Cup series, which encompasses a variety of sports events throughout the year, is organized by NYC & Company, the City’s marketing, tourism and partnership organization. The series brings together student athletes from public, Catholic and independent schools to compete for the title of “Best in the City.” For more information, visit nycmayorscup.com.
