Hi.

I have used the programs on this site before but due to weather, sickness and other comitments i have stopped. I have been training though. Mostly biking.
I am 34 now. I used to run 800m up tp I was 19 or so. 2.03 indoor was my best time. I also did 10K. Best time of 34.17 done in 1999 i think. Since then I have run some a biked a lot. Now I will try to do a better time in a 10K next spring. My last 10K test-run was in december of 2006. I did 37.08 then.
I have one problem though and that is my right knee. If I start running too much too soon it will hurt on the outside. Long-distance-knee I think.
I think I can do 2-3 30-40 minute runs a week to begin with without getting any pain. What do you suggest i do to begin with ? I can to a 5K test if that is helpful, but I think my knee is the limiting factor as of now. Although it doesn't hurt now.
Welcome Sigmund

if the truth be known I highly recommend you start on the

Beginner's program - Prepare for your first 5km

as this will guide you slowly back to exercise hopefully without injury and then after 3 weeks you can then see if your legs are up to it

What say you?

That sounds like a good plan to me. I will do that along with some biking inbetween and I'll let you know how it goes.
:great:
