Hi TheEd

Been a week since I posted. So here's what happened the past few days
So lately I have had these running days that everything is fine and then some days its not. It seems that its at a level now that there is only bad runs.

Sunday - easy 90min bike ride
Monday - rest
Tuesday - easy 11k run, Avg HR 164bpm @ 6.30 pace. HR is very high....a real mystery to me. Compared in January where I was running 15k's with an avg HR of 127bpm @ 6:04 pace.
Wed - rest
Thu - easy 12k run, Avg 158 @ 6:38 pace, HR stays high
Fri - rest
Sat - plan for a easy 60min cycle or easy 40 min run or rest
Sun - rest

So, I will see what next week holds. I'm not planning to do any intervals or tempo runs. I will just do some easy runs and see what the body is doing.....probably just build up fatigue.

Phil

Morning TheEd,

I can relate to Neil's post yesterday. We took our fair share of the storms in the southern cape. We lost all power, internet etc. from Monday afternoon. Lost of damage in our little town. Power and internet was restored only last night.

I did manage to do a bit of cycling with my daughter on Saturday. She has convinced me to do a 85km mountain bike race with her end September. I will therefore focus on cycling for the next 5 months, with running taking second priority. I'm actually excited and looking forward to the change in focus.

As the forums are runners based, I won't be posting for a while.
Thank you for the valuable input and advice the past 6 months..., can believe it's been 6 months already. Till later....

Phil

Well done Phil, 6 months is a large commitment.

Good luck with the cycling and change of pace.

Hope to see you return once your race is complete.
