Hi TheEd

I went on a run a couple of days back but have come down with another illness which I have caught off my son this time! Running a fever at the moment so unfortunately going to need to take another break until fully recovered… think my immune system must still be a bit knocked from covid.

Will hopefully get back to some sort of fitness soon!

Ben

Hi Ben, it has been a number of years and as I was perusing the forums, I wondered how things were going with you? TheEd

Hi there - good to hear from you!! You will be pleased to hear that I’ve done a lot of running since we last spoke - your training structure definitely gave me the foundation to build from so thank you for that! I have since run 3 marathons - Dubai’23 2:47, Abu  Dhabi’23 2:37, London’24 2:40.

I also finally got that sub 35min 10km - ran a 33:47 at the London 10km 2 years ago Smile  Unfortunately though that was my last PB as had some injury issues - 2 consecutive sacral stress fractures… but I’ve been gradually rebuilding over the last 6 months and I’m now setting myself some targets with bibs for Ealing Half Marathon in September and Valencia Marathon in December.

How’s everything with you?

All the best

Ben

Hi Ben .. great to hear from you .. i note that for some reason emails only went out this week from posts made last year

regarding your injuries, do you think that the excitement of the 10k PB led to you training harder?
