Did an easy half hour on sunday. Then monday/tuesday the plan went to pot. Two sick daughters meant that no training got done. I managed to escape the house today and decided to do the 1k reps sub 3:40 pace.

1. 3:38, 2. 3:36, 3. 3:36, 4. 3:37, 5. 3:36, 6. 3:36. Max hr 155 Avg 145.

Will do an easy 40 minute run tomorrow, rest friday and hopefully the parkrun. If I don't make it then I will try and do my own paced run.

good stuff Joe .. judging from the 1k runs, you still have plenty in the tank

don't fret about anything and we do what we can

So the roads were icy for the parkrun on saturday so they moved it to a cross country course with some frozen fields and deep puddles thrown in. My time was'nt great 19:12 but I put that down to the conditions. I came 4th but forgot my watch so I could'nt tell you the splits. Still it was good fun. Plan to start another cycle this tuesday culminating with a 3k on the green on the 22nd. After this I may be leaving scotland and moving to Abu dhabi for pastures new. I have a feeling my body is not gonna know whats hit it when I take my first run out their.

lol Joe, that will be a dramatic climate change

regarding the Park Run, at least you were able to do some fast running

onwards and forwards

2k's on thursday. Didn't feel great to be honest but got through it.

3:46/3:45 = 7:31
3:45/3:45 = 7:30
3:43/3:45 = 7:28
3:41/3:44 = 7:25
3:43/3:44 = 7:27

Avg 147 Max 155

Long run this morning was a bit short and slow, early start and poor sleep last night plus a rucksack on my back contributed.
9.56k's - 54:11
