just be careful not putting too much quality into 1 week while adapting to all the variation in training

it can so easily lead to overuse injuries and problems

TheEd
ps.. are you enjoying the variation?

Quiquesubway 10k Training - Quiquesubway - 03-09-2009

Oh, I'm enjoying the variation alright! Did find yesterday's practice out of place. I wasn't able to do 5 X 2000--i was feeling heavy and slow. Did manage to run 2000 @ 8:15 w/ 2:00 and 8:17 w/ 2:00, then ran 3 X 1000 each w/ 1:30 (4:00, 3:58 and 3:57)

Had my first swimming experience today and i loved it, although i almost leave one of my lungs there. Just came from an "easy run" @ 5.75kms' @ 30:00

Will swim Mon-Wed-Fri and try having quality runs those days...i think i'll do better @ the track than when spinning in the mornings!
I'm at 159.8 pounds already and could fit in my 30" shorts wooo hoo!!!

Quiquesubway 10k Training - Quiquesubway - 09-09-2009

Hey! Last friday's tempo @ 19:58...almost couldn't make it! Went for a short vacation (locally) but weather was awful...it was raining!! Saturday went for 1hr run, but managed to run 25 minutes @ golf course (full of flies...guess from rain) and 25 mins @ trademill in the hotel's gym.
Took Sunday off, but ran an easy 1hr 03 @ 8mi--and now i have some kind of "pain" in right side of my "butt".
Yesterday i didn't woke up early to excercise and left everything for the afternoon. Wanted to run a relaxed 10K, but went on the trainer @ low gear, high rpms' for 30 mins and then ran 5K @ 24:43
I had a rough night with head congestion, runny nose and "sort of" of sorethroat?
Woke up early and hit the pool for 1hr and did an excellent practice according to coach! If i feel better, i will do 6 X 1000 tonight, but also, there's a 3000 @ track tomorrow. May want to run that instead so i give my cold some "rest"? What do you say? Btw, i think the 10K for Sept 20 has been delayed...i think it's the 27th? Will check that out!

Take care!

Yes, i understand. As a child, i always had "health problems" every time i went into a pool. Before getting into the water i'm putting ear and nose drops; think that may help.
Thanks

Dear Friend. How are you? Just to say "Hi" and to let you know i'm doing great! Although i'm not focused in training only for 10Ks' i have adapted real well to my triathlete training! Example, yesterday i did 60 mins on the trainer @ 90 rpms 53/18, then 10K at the track @ 40:54

Great accomplishment and thanks to you in part!

December 13th will compete in a Half Iron distance Tri. Already finished 4th with 2:35 at Olympic distance!

Cheers!
