New SA Record for Wade van Niekerk - TheEd - 18-06-2014
Athletics South Africa would like to congratulate Wayde van Niekerk, his province and his coach on his superb running of the 400m race at the Diamond League meeting in New York. Wayde set a new SA record of 44,38 seconds, breaking the previous record of 44,59 seconds, held jointly by Arnaud Malherbe (1999) and Hendrick Mokganyetsi (2000).
The ASA Board on behalf of the whole athletics family would like to wish Wayde and the rest of the SA team all the best for the upcoming 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland.
