simply run every 2nd day and focus on the quality sessions of the program

core of program

5 x 2k

long run

6 x 1k

every 2nd day run 1hr with the last 10 minutes at a faster pace

hope this will help

Cheers

ps.. if you don't build up expectations regarding results it should all be fine and surprising

Hi there The Ed,

Long time no see!
Feels good to be back posting in this thread Smile

Now I've managed to find some consistency again. Still building on the house but am up at 4 1-hour runs each week. The pace is around 5 min/km and therefore distance is between 11.5 km and 12.5 km at every run. The HR is around 145 bpm.

I haven't started to run on a program yet.

I'm aiming for the Gothenburg half-marathon in the end of May. I hope to reach below 1:30 there this year. So that's what I hope for Smile

How do you suggest I proceed?

nice to have you posting again and great to hear the house is coming along well

To run close to 90 minutes for the half would be great, so don't bite off too much with expectation

great to chat

Is it best for me just to run along like I do?

I plan to go up to 5 times a week this week or the next.
All 1 hour runs, 145 in HR and around 12 km per run.

It all depends on you and the amount of time you have a available, so yes, run along as you feel currently and then when you feel ready consider the 4k time-trial to give you a measure of where you stand

enjoy

I'm not running 70 km every week now since I've been sick a few days every now and then. But I feel fine. I thinking about doing the 4k time trial in the end of the week anyway. It will be fun Smile

Did a 4k time-trial last saturday.
Didn't go very well - I got the cramps on one side of the stomach after 3rd lap which lasted until 8th lap, but I guess I couldn't have run much better without it

I did it on a 400m track and the time was 16:30.

I'm starting on the program today.

grand .. do you know which pace to start at?

cheers
