Not really Smile

I was going to start at 4:00 min/km, but maybe that's too high..
What do you think?

How to train - TheEd - 20-03-2013

Big Grin .. way off .. you need to start at 4.10 to 4.15 per k for the 2k session and 4.00 to 4.15 per k for the 1k session

that is more realistic and beneficial

cheers

Great!
Thank you for leading me in the right direction.
As usual I am too keen to try to progress too fast. Big Grin

It felt quite good, but during the last 400m lap I felt the feeling in the throat
that I was close to dry retching - and when I stopped after the finish-line I dry retched..

lap - split - avg hr - hr after R
1 - 4:03 - 166 - ?
2 - 4:04 - 167 - ?
3 - 4:04 - 169 - ?
4 - 4:01 - 173 - ?
5 - 4:04 - 175 - ?
6 - 3:58 - 177 - ?

I can't find the unit that transmits the data to a computer, so I can't see what hr I have after the rest. If I find it before I need to delete the run from the watch I'll add it.

how are you feeling now ... you may have been running too hard for your current fitness?

you need to maybe back off and remove your foot on the pedal to try get a 'softer' approach to this all

Well, immediately after the few retchings everything went fine. It was no problem cooling down for 1,5 km on the way home from the track.

Since then until now, which is a few hours later everything feels great. I don't feel exhausted or worked out in any way, besides a little tired in the legs Wink

I don't think I overworked it. It didn't feel that way compared to how it used to feel when I did this session before. It was mostly on the last 400 m lap it came crawling. Other than that I felt that I recovered enough during the resting in between the intervals.

Have been doing my 1 hr run now for a long time, but I missed out on the 4k paced run last saturday and the sunday and monday 1 hr run - but today I did the "start with 10 x 400m R 60 400/86sec – no faster P" run.

I aimed for around 93 seconds per interval

lap - time - steps - avg hr - max hr - min hr rest
1 - 1.33 - 280 - 152 - 171 - 102
2 - 1.33 - 276 - 157 - 173 - ?
3 - 1.34 - 276 - 159 - 175 - ?
4 - 1.34 - 282 - 160 - 176 - ?
5 - 1.33 - 278 - 160 - 179 - ?
6 - 1.31 - 278 - 163 - 181 - ?
7 - 1.30 - 274 - 167 - 183 - ?
8 - 1.30 - 274 - 167 - 184 - ?
9 - 1.28 - 274 - 168 - 185 - ?
10 - 1.27 - 268 - 172 - 187 - 118

I'm very satisfied with the session and I felt that I still had a lot to give when I jogged home afterwards.

the 400m would always feel easier Wink

how are your calf muscles after that session

TheEd
ps.. how is the weather looking your side

How to train - Raginglynx - 04-04-2013

The calf muscles are ok - just a little sore Wink

Yesterday I took a slow 12 km run at below 140 in HR.

But tonight I caught a cold with fever and headache and I feel quite dizzy and
weak in every muscle. Me and my youngest were the last ones to get it - the other ones had it last week. I thought it wouldn't catch me Big Grin

The weather here is very sunny, but still quite cold so you get easily tricked into dressing to light.. But sitting inside being sick gives a bad conscience since it's so sunny.

oh well .. at least you got something in .. summer should be here soon
