RE: Gabba Gabba Hey Ho let's - Anba - 30-11-2019

Regarding my 5k paced run, it felt very demanding and looking at my heart rate, i would rate it at RPE 9...
I suspect since
yesterday was a very tiring and stressful... I had to change a flat tyre in very hot conditions, really baked me to the Max...although I saw soon as I as I was able, And it showed today ...lo

Warm up felt normal, but once I started the 5k pace
The feel was not there coach, first K went as how I planned, but through the 2nd and 3rd K, although the effort was getting harder @my pulse was high.. ...the pace remained the same... 4th K was a struggle... Felt legs heavy and slow, although this was supposed to be a 5k tempo like run, it felt like a Time Trial... Honestly I was thinking should I push it since the pace run was supposed to feel like easy to run below 5k or should I just stop it since Felt so hard...
I maintained cool, told my self to just run and not to quit ...so the last k I just went with the flow, got a rhythm going and just finished the run...
After finishing, felt quite spent out ... To end it , I did a lite jog to warm down and bring my pulse below 120.
Overall I'm slightly disappointed couldn't get below 25 mins yet happy never gave up ..
Looking onwards for tomorrow easy 10k run.

Hi Anba, these are early days, you doing a fair amount of training now, make sure you focus on recovery tomorrow. You may be coming down with a cold or something, so extra hydration and sleep

onwards

Coach regarding the saturday run@day 19 race day ...since i dont have any race planned, shall i do a 4k TT for the next cycle? Tq

RE: Gabba Gabba Hey Ho let's - TheEd - 04-12-2019

Great stuff Anba .. yes for race day you can choose a distance from 4 to 8k, if you doing a time-trial on your own. Use a course which is easy to use for future TTs

TheEd
ps.. are you feeling a little better?

RE: Gabba Gabba Hey Ho let's - Anba - 04-12-2019
