without the technology, how are you feeling when you exercise, are you feeling sluggish or is there 'vibrancy' returning?
and I guess the weather can't be helping

Hi Ed,
Getting back towards being my normal self, so managed to run today. Don't normally run on a Tuesday but my usual Tuesday volunteering activity at a local school didn't happen because term had finished. I decided to run without getting any updates on pace during the run. I would just run for fun and not worry about the pace. It was a bit cold (by English standards) so I did not run really slowly because I wanted to keep warm. Nonetheless no real effort for most of the time and then a bit of a push for the last km or so because I could feel I had plenty of spare energy (well, ok, some spare energy!).
I ran 5.18 km in 31.53 mins. Each km was faster than the previous one, starting at 6.18 and ending at 5.40. Heart rate rose quickly to around 160, although (surprisingly) it did drop back to around 125 after about five mins then it climbed back to around 160 for the rest of the run. Average HR: 161 max around 170.
I felt OK at the end of the run. Hope to manage one or two more runs before the end of the year.
