Hi ED,
wanted to put this out there as I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet about the world masters running in France this year. Sadly I have done a 180 on myself with what I have learned over a short period of time. When I first saw the world masters via British masters I thought it was my cue to compete with athletes at my age group from other country's which would be great. How ever as I became more involved I came to learn that your suppose to run for your country without any selection process at all. There for you pay your money and you can run. Its probably very flattering for some athletes to go buy a GB squad kit what there selling and run in a make belief story that you are actually running for your country! It feels like a Walter mitty attempt to impress your friends and family how good you are without earning the vest. I just don't feel I can be apart of that some how its a nice gesture but one that does not sit so well with me. All for now regards jon.:p
