Saint Antonio Marathon, Italy

The Saint Antonio Marathon will take place for the 15th time on April 19th, 2015. The event is steeped in tradition and is located in Padua, Italy.

The scenic view of the course gives you the best of the towns you pass through in the region while winding back to the Prato della Valle. The course is suitable to record your personal best and more than 3000 participants enjoyed the marathon as well as half marathon distance.

Yes, there is also a half marathon to be enjoyed.

The course record for men is sub 2.10 and for women sub 2.30, so the description as fast, fits.

After 15 years the event is well established and provides for a sound organisation structure

Fast, flat, the race course goes through seven little towns to end in the marvellous scenery of Prato della Valle, in Padua, the biggest square in Europe.

“St.Anthony Marathon is not only a big international running event, moreover it is a local feast for runners. Beside the two main competitions, on the same day take place three non competitive races of 10, 5 and 1 km open to every one, with start and finish in Prato della Valle. Padua is an historical town only 40km away from Venice with medieval beauties: among all, the famous Basilica of St.Anthony. It’s worth coming for the marathon but also for a unique vacation”.
