Bronchial Asthma is one of the most common respiratory diseases, bronchial asthma can be caused from a number of stressors such as :

  • emotional distress
  • barometric pressure or temperature changes
  • exercise
  • inhaling a noxious odour
  • or the specific exposure to an allergen.

    Symptoms and signs:
    Bronchial asthma is characterised by a spasm of the mucous membrane.

    In addition to asthma´s narrowing of the airway, large amounts of mucous are produced. Breathing difficulty will likely occur causing the athlete to hyperventilate, with dizziness as a result.

    The attack may be initiated by coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath as well as fatigue.
