Hi TheEd
My 2nd race on last Sun was disappointing, I finished at 1:06'36".
I came down with flu and sore throat just 2 days before the race. I woke up with my nose blocked, contemplated and decided to go for the race.
At 4km, I was beginning to breath hard and I knew the run was going to be a very tough one. At 8km, breathing became so difficulty, at some point, I wanted to give up. But I thought, I came this far and I only need to endure another 2km. I continued. After the race, I felt really unwell.
Many said me I did a dangerous thing; running with a flu... I'm disappointed with the timing, I don't regret making the decision to run and I'm glad I endured and crossed the finish line.
I'm resting and still recovering from my flu. Doctor has advised that I should not run for the next few weeks. I probably will have to give up the race on 6 Dec...
For now, I just want to get well, re-charged and get back on the track again.
TheEd, thank you for believing in me... I want to continue to train. I hope to build a strong foundation, so that I may do better the next time.
