Tallinn is once again preparing to host one of Northern Europe’s premier running events as the Swedbank Tallinn Marathon welcomes runners from around the world on September 11–13, 2026.

The event continues to attract runners from across the globe, reinforcing its position as Estonia’s largest international sporting event and one of Northern Europe’s most respected road races.

International Participation Reaches New Heights

Holding the prestigious World Athletics Elite Label, the Tallinn Marathon offers participants a world-class race experience alongside the opportunity to explore Tallinn’s unique blend of historic and modern cityscapes on foot.

More than 10,000 runners from 76 countries have already registered for the 2026 event, highlighting its growing international appeal.

Race Weekend Offers Distances for Every Runner

The marathon weekend features a diverse program designed for runners of all ages and abilities.

The festivities begin on Friday with the Welcome Run, a relaxed and social event open free of charge to all participants registered for any Saturday or Sunday race. Registration details can be found here.

Saturday’s schedule includes the Half Marathon, 10K, and the Nike Youth Run 5K. On Sunday, runners take on the Marathon and Relay Marathon. Family-friendly children’s races will also be held throughout the weekend.
