 Welcome to the Drugs-in-Sport section 

Time-to-Run began the development of this section due to the massive THG scandal that erupted after the 2003 World Championships in Paris. The first intention was to provide an article regarding the speculation of this 'scandal' and then to build on the planned providing of information for athletes and sportspersons to become more familiar of which substances are on the banned list.

Ultimately, this section is not intending on becoming 'bogged' down with the pointing of fingers or becoming entangled in who we think is 'juiced' and who is not. We shall provide facts and information in a manner that will further enhance the athlete or sportsperson's participation in the sport or their 'career', if they are at such a level.

USATF revises Zero Tolerance policy, establishes system
INDIANAPOLIS - The USA Track & Field Board of Directors has approved a revision of its existing Zero Tolerance plan that will create a system for taking action against coaches whose athletes are penalized for doping offenses. The plan, which also focuses on others in a position to influence athletes, including medical personnel and agents, was approved by the Board at USATF's 2006 Annual Meeting in Indianapolis.

Gatlin accepts offence and cuts deal 23 August
The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced today that Justin Gatlin of Pensacola, Fla., an athlete in the sport of track and field, has agreed to the accuracy of the laboratory results from his sample collected by USADA on April 22, 2006. Gatlin has further agreed that his positive test constitutes a doping violation and has promised to cooperate in the effort to eradicate the use of drugs from sport.
