Beatrice Faumuina was re-elected to the IAAF Athletes Commission, by the athletes attending the World Championships in Osaka.
Faumuina polled 769 votes from 1089 valid votes cast to be re-appointed for a two year term. Faumuina polled ninth highest from 18 nominations.
The six with the most votes were elected for four years and the next six, which included Faumuina, for two years.

Faumuina said that she was overwhelmed to know that she had been voted in.
"I was overwhelmed to know that I had been voted in by the athletes participating at the most recent 2007 World Championships in Osaka," she said.
"I look forward to representing Oceania and will do my best to present our concerns as athletes competing in an truly International Sport so we fulfil the IAAF future development of athletics," added Faumuina.
