Fastest times went to New Brighton Olympic in the senior men 5 x 2.5km in 1h 17m 3s, from University 1h 20m 28s. Fastest laps going to Callan Moody 14m 58s, Brett Tingay 15m 1s and Daniel Balchin 15m 6s. Canterbury Tri Club was the fastest in the senior women 4 x 2.5km in 1h 15m 42s from North Canterbury 1h 24m 8s. Fastest laps Reubyn Bisschops 17m 37s, Sophie Evans 18m 21s. Papanui TocH was the fastest in the master men in 1h 28m 37s with Richard Bennett being the fastest over the lap in 16m 3s one second faster than Nick Burrow. Sumner was the fastest master women team in 1h 23m 51s with Lisa Brignull running the fastest lap of 19m 14s.

IRELAND
Morton Pre Games, Morton Stadium Santry, Dublin – 25 July 2012
Lucy Van Dalen was fourth in the 800m in a personal best of 2m 4.53s. The race was Van Dalen’s last before the heats of the Olympic Games 1500 metres. Malcolm Hicks was sixth in the 3000m in 8m 1.99s with Matt Lambert 14th in 8m 22.34s.

AUCKLAND
Annual Glen Eden 10 mile Road Race – 28 July 2012
Like clockwork Jono Jackson made it three years in a row in the annual Glen Eden ten mile road race on Saturday.
Jackson repeated his winning time of last year of 55m 16s, heading in Tony Payne by nearly a minute. James List was third in 58m 7s with junior Matthew Battley fourth in 58m 13s. Melissa Norris won the women’s section in 1h 5m 32s, over four minutes ahead of 2008 winner Jacqueline Eastman.

Auckland Race Walking Championships, Ngataringa Bay Devonport – 29 July 2012
Brooke Cowsill produced the fifth all time fastest time by a woman in winning the women’s 10km road walk title in 48m 37s. Mike Parker won the men’s 10km title in 49m 57s. Other titles went to Andrew Jackson M19 5km 31m 30s, Sarah-Amy Rhind W19 5km 32m 36s, Jared Free M16 5km 29m 45s, Emma Dunbar W16 5km 34m 20s and Shirley Barber MW 10km 69m 7s.

MARLBROUGH SOUNDS
Captain Cook’s Landing Trail Run, Queen Charlotte Track, from Ship Cove to Camp Bay – 28 July 2012
Dave Parsons won in 1h 56m 15s, two minutes ahead of Dallas Wichman. Dan Moore was third in 2h 2m 36s. Patricia Sloan was the first woman in 2h 35m 19s, from Rachael Jamieson 2h 35m 27s and Emma Crichton 2h 36m 41s.
