Greece 2015 – Eliud Kipchoge was a worthy winner of Marathon Runner of the Year award in Athens over the weekend
Eliud Kipchoge – Marathon Runner of the Year 2015
The Kenyan athlete, Eliud Kipchoge, has made a magnificent transition from track runner to marathon runner, with the past 12 months being an incredible success. With wins in Chicago, London and Berlin over the past year, the diminutive athlete has stamped his authority over the distance.
Over the weekend of the 7th November 2015, in Athens, Kipchoge was rewarded with the award of Marathon Runner of the Year.
Ethiopia’s Mare Dibaba was awarded the women’s prize after a year in which she won the world title in Beijing among an equally impressive list of accomplishments.
